We are delighted to announce the second Progression Ball and Awards 2025, sponsored by Newcastle Building Society.

We are proud to deliver this event with ReportOUT, a leading global human rights charity dedicated to protecting the rights of sexual and gender minorities in the UK and worldwide.

Together, both organisations are committed to creating a safer, more inclusive communities locally and globally for LGBTQIA+ people. Through grassroots initiatives, education and collaboration with other organisations we work to address community needs and amplify the voices and experiences if individuals.

Get ready for Pride Prom 2025, following the roaring success of our 2024 evening. Come and celebrate the progress of LGBTQIA+ communities across the North AND our own remarkable development as a charity.

To be held at Grand Hotel Gosforth Park on Friday, February 7th, 2025 during LGBT+ History Month, you are invited to join in with a night packed full of entertainment, a three course meal, auction, performances, raffle and games galore, alongside inspirational stories from a range of LGBTQIA+ people.

The evening will run from 7.00pm to midnight.

PRIDE PROM

The evening will include an awards ceremony to recognise the amazing achievements of people across the region in promoting and supporting local LGBTQIA+ communities, making the North a more inclusive, diverse and accepting place for all. This year’s theme is ‘Pride Prom’.

Business Award: The Business Award acknowledges a business that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusivity and diversity within their workplace and beyond. This award honours a company that has not only implemented inclusive policies and practices but has also actively supported LGBTQIA+ causes, contributed to LGBTQIA+ organisations, and strived to create a safe, affirming, and equal environments for LGBTQIA+ employees.
Third Sector Award, sponsored by Newcastle College: The Third Sector Award recognises a voluntary group, charity, or community group that has made a significant impact on the LGBTQIA+ community. This award celebrates outstanding efforts of an organisation or group that has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ people through advocacy, programmes, services, and initiatives aimed at fostering inclusivity, social justice, and empowerment.
Youth Achievement Award, sponsored by NE Youth: The Youth Achievement Award is a testament to the remarkable achievements and resilience of a young LGBTQIA+ individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, advocacy, or creativity. This award applauds their courage, determination, and positive influence within the LGBTQIA+ community. Despite their age, they will have already made meaningful contributions, inspiring and shaping a more inclusive world for all.
Ally Award, sponsored by SQUAREONE: The Ally Award is bestowed upon an individual or organisation that has shown exceptional support and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community. This award honours a dedicated ally who has consistently stood up for LGBTQIA+ rights, championing inclusivity, equality, and understanding. Their efforts contribute significantly to a world where allies and LGBTQIA+ people collaborate for a more harmonious and accepting society.
